Mr. Verdun is an independent associate with the firm. He primarily focuses his practice defending the rights of the criminally accused, as well as protecting the rights of consumers and defending consumers against abusive debt collection practices from original creditors and third party debt collectors.
Mr. Verdun received his juris doctor degree from Southern California Institute of Law followed by a master’s degree in Federal Criminal Trial Defense Advocacy from California Western Law School’s LL.M. program, earning a degree in Federal Criminal Trial Defense Advocacy. In the process, Mr. Verdun graduated from the “Trial Skills Academy” put on by the offices of the Federal Defenders, Washington D.C. He then completed a 3-month federal criminal defense internship with federal criminal defense attorney Michael Crowley prior to becoming an independent associate with the Crowley Law Group.
In law school, Mr. Verdun interned with the Ventura County Public Defender’s Office, gaining valuable experience in state criminal defense. He also assisted a private solo practice in the filing of Chapter 7 consumer bankruptcy cases.
Mr. Verdun is licensed in the State of California, along with the Federal District Court of California, in both the Southern and Central Divisions. He is a member of California Attorneys for Criminal Justice (CACJ), National Association of Criminal Defense Lawyers (NACDL), Criminal Defense Bar Association – San Diego (CDBA), American Bar Association, and the San Diego County Bar Association (SDCBA). In the area of consumer protection, Mr. Verdun is a member of National Association of Consumer Bankruptcy Attorneys (NACBA) and Consumer Attorneys Association of Los Angeles (CAALA).
